Hábitat Sur Foundation (licensed on experiential educational activities) and Natural Reserve (registered as Green Local Business by Corpoamazonia), develops a schedule of workshops and activities designed to allow visitors to explore the cultural and natural wealth of the Amazon region in a constructive way.
Immersed on 600 acres of rainforest, the natural reserve is a space dedicated to the protection of the rainforest and its biodiversity and to a permanent dialogue with the traditional knowledge of neighbouring indigenous communities.
We have developed a learning-based environment for visitors to explore local farming and permaculture, develop skills to live to in harmony with the jungle and its inhabitants, learn from the local arts and crafts and building techniques. Other activities include:
- Biodiversity recognition
- Reforestation with native species
- Traditional cuisine
- Urban waste reclamation and reuse
We can help you design and organize your own personalized experiential workshop for groups: business trips, schools or particulars, according to your interests, time and needs.
Or you can join one of our scheduled workshops:
- Bio-Construction workshop : in December 2017
